Examining & Ranking the 2012 NFL Draft Quarterbacks
These years draft class has a few for sure stars like Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III but once you get beyond those two there are quite a few mediocre quarterbacks in this class as well.
1. Robert Griffin III Baylor
He's got all the tools for a star at the next level and he has the best mobility any NFL scout has ever seen. Imagine a Mike Vick talent but instead with world class sprinter speed how could he not be the first pick in the NFL Draft? RGIII also has the best deep ball out of all the quarterbacks in this draft class and can throw it 60 yards down the field and drop it on a dime something I have never seen Mike Vick do consistently. He's also proved in college he can carry a team on his shoulders something I never saw from Andrew Luck. The only negative on RGIII is he wasn't groomed in a pro-style offense.
2. Andrew Luck Stanford
He also has all the tools including under recognized athleticism, he has the ability to escape the pocket and even scramble for a few yards sort of like an Aaron Rodgers. The one thing I'm skeptical about is whether or not he can play on a team that all depends on him like the Colts would. At Stanford he always had a good sometimes great running game which took a lot of pressure off of him but in Indy there is NO running game whats so ever. Andrew Luck did play in a pro style system at Stanford which will definitely benefit him in the NFL.
3. Nick Foles Arizona
Quietly he had a great career at Arizona until his senior year but still may be a top 32 first round draft pick. His arm is good, he ran a pro-style offense at UofA, is a great leader, has great poise in the pocket, throws a great ball under duress, and even has pretty decent size. He's also 5 years younger than Brandon Weeden and needs less development than Weeden.
4. Brandon Weeden Oklahoma St.
He has probably the best arm in the draft I would compare it alot to Cutler, he has better accuracy than Cutler. The two major negatives to his draft stock are his age 29, and the fact that he played in a spread offense and it would take some time for him to get acquainted with a pro system in the NFL. Weeden is also a great leader and made guys better around him and can fit balls in holes only a few quaterbacks' could fit them.
5. Brock Osweiler Arizona St.
If Brandon Weeden has a good arm Osweiler has a CANON, he has probably the best arm I've seen from a college football quarterback. He also has tremendous size at 6' 7" but athleticism to go along with it. His pocket awareness still isn't quite where you want it to be. He played in a pro-style offense which is a plus but will need a year or two to become starting material in the NFL.
6. Kirk Cousins Michigan St.
He definitely won't be a star in the NFL but will be a very good quarterback, probably something like a Ryan Fitzpatrick. He has average measureables like arm strength, size, accuracy, and pocket awareness. In the great words of Skip Bayless "all he does is win." He too won't start right away and probably not for a few years, he played in the Big Ten so the transition for him will be easier than most. He's a great leader and can be a great person in the locker room.

NFL Conference Championship Preview and Picks
A shocking development in the playoffs thus far is that two of the top three quarterbacks lost last week in Brees and Rodgers and two mediocre quarterbacks made it to the last step before the super bowl. Flacco vs. Brady and Smith vs. Manning who will win and punch their ticket to Indianapolis for the Super Bowl?
Ravens vs Patriots: Two years ago the Ravens embarrassed New England at Foxboro even in spite of Joe Flacco and will probably have to do the same this time around. Brady looked unstoppable last week against Denver and the Ravens defense looked below average against TJ Yates and the run. It took three well timed interceptions for the Ravens to squeak by the Texans. If the Ravens have a shot the defense has to hold Brady to field goals, stop the run, and Ray Rice MUST have at least 20 touches via the pass and the run.
However, the Patriots offense looks like a juggernaut and I don't think there is anyway in heck that the Ravens defense can cover the two athletic tight ends that New England has in Gronkowski and Hernandez. These two will probably take the two best corners the Ravens have which leaves Wes Welker to produce which he is more than capable of doing. In my opinion the Patriots will flip the script on Baltimore and blow them out this time leaving people to question if Flacco is a legitimate quarterback and the Ravens defense as Tom Brady will shred them Sunday afternoon.
My Pick: Patriots by 10
Giants vs 49ers: In a battle of two teams hardly anyone would've picked to be the last two standing in the NFC one team (Giants) has a defense that rushes the passer with the best of any team and the other (49ers) that has the best linebacking corp in football. The Giants are on FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIREEEEEEEE! and Eli Manning is playing a lot like his older brother Peyton, the running game has shown up the last two playoff games and they dominated the Packers in every aspect of the game a week ago. If the Giants want to win this game they have to stop the 49ers running game and get constant pressure on Alex Smith to force him into quick ill advised decisions something I think they'll be able to do. The Giants also have to make big plays in the passing game like they have the last few weeks with either Victor Cruz or Hakeem Nicks and the running game must at least keep the linebackers at bay.
The 49ers keys to victory are simple and the core of their success keep the opposing quarterback off the field by running the ball with Frank Gore, be effective with the play-action, get pressure on the quarterback with Justin and Aldon Smith, and punch the ball into the endzone. Please 49ers score touchdowns kicking field goals won't win you this game. last but not least either Crabtree or Vernon Davis need to have a big game and a couple big plays just like last week against the Saints. In conclusion 49ers and Giants on paper looks fairly even and is a battle of the two hottest teams in the NFC over the past 2 months it will be close and I think Eli Manning will play New England once again in the Super Bowl...What....? NFL Divisional Playoffs
Its time for the divisional playoffs and with two cinderella's in the AFC (Texans and Broncos) and the juggernauts in the NFC it'll be interesting to see what happens. Here is the divisional playoffs analysis and picks Turbonian style...
1. Texans vs Ravens: In what I hope will be a pretty straight forward and decisive victory for the Ravens I think they have a great defense a great running game, and a mediocre quarterback...Wait a second isn't that exactly what Houston has? Arian Foster vs Ray Rice is going to be a wash, both defenses force turnovers and don't give up a lot of points. So this game will come down to Flacco vs Yates and oh brother! is all I have to say. Flacco has thrown 7 picks in his 5 starts in the postseason but I'm going to go with his experience over Yates since he's a rookie and playing a vaunted defense.
My pick: Ravens by 7
2. Broncos vs Patriots: I picked against the mighty Tebow last week and regretted it but this week I'm going against him with full confidence. I think Tom Brady is going to put up 35+ on the Broncos and there defense will minimize Tebow's passing ability by playing with a deep safety the whole game unlike the Steelers. I also think that although Tebow has potential last weeks game might have been a mirage. I also think Coach Fox will go back to his old ways of playing not to lose which will doom the Broncos and get them in a whole early.
My Pick: Pats by 10
3. Gaines vs Packers: This game I am torn on I want to pick the Packers based off their tremendous offense but their defense is just to suspect for my liking. As long as Eli doesn't get in a whole early I think the Giants D will get pressure on Rodgers quite frequently and he will show rustiness from not playing in 3 weeks. I think Eli will pick apart the Packers defense and the it will come down to Eli in the fourth quarter and this time he will get the last laugh.
My Pick: Gaines by 3
4. Saints vs 49ers: This game is going to be the game of the weekend to watch, this will pit the best defense in the NFL versus the best offense in the NFL. Whoever said defenses win championships definitely hasn't paid much attention to these past couple decades, juggernaut offenses rule (i.e. Packers last year, Saints the year before, Steelers vs Cardinals, Colts super bowl win) This trend will continue and the Saints will simply take the 49ers to the shed and whoop their ass. Brees for MVP!
My pick: Saints by 10

New Years Resolution
I know every year people make New Year's resolutions and most don't succeed, but I will succeed mwahahahaha. Although late my resolution will challenge me greatly for I have a caffeine addiction.
Resolution #1: No more soda pop. This includes caffeinated and non-caffeinated soda for the rest of the year.
Resolution #2: Lose 20 pounds.
so these are my New Year's resolutions a little late I know, sorry this blog isn't very long but my next one will.

NFL Blitz DLC Review
Blitz is back in a big way with an up to date version of the old classic arcade game for only $14.99 on both Xbox live and Playstation marketplace. Let's not waste any time and cut to the chase, I will break it down for you:
Gameplay: Similar to past NFL Blitz games there is the turbo button and massive hits and body slams but unfortunately there are no more after the whistle hits like in previous installments. It stinks not being able to body slam a receiver who's doing a TD dance or throw a quarterback 20 feet after the whistle to show him who his real daddy is.
Graphics/ Commentary: The graphics are pretty good Madden-esque if you will although with the big heads it does look somewhat cheesy. The helmets on fire are a nice touch. The commentary is hilarious and fairly random which is entertaining in of itself from food references to comments on big hits Madden can learn a lot from this.
Replay Value: Always fun to play whether its with a friend or an arch enemy over the internet NFL Blitz has high replay value. There are also challenging computers to defeat who have robots..NFL players tackling metal robots yes!!!!!! best idea everrrrrrr!
Overall NFL Blitz proved to be back and better than ever with its fully relicensed NFL deal Blitz is sure to hit big with past and present gamers and make Madden ashamed to breathe.
For a DLC the overall rating will be a 9 out of 10 only downfall is lack of playcalling.

The Game of the Century Round II LSU vs Alabama
This may be the worst national title game in the history of college football on the offensive side of the ball. Neither team has a quarterback that's ever mediocre or an offense that's capable of putting up 20 points in this game. Sure you can say the defenses are soooooo good but in truth these teams are offensively challenged and McCaron is pretty much garbage and can't throw to save his life and is lucky that he has Trent Richardson to cover up his terrible QB play. As for Jordan Jefferson he can't throw either and more often than not the honey badger has to bail him out with a big play on defense or special teams.
With all the scoring in the bowl games this year I hope LSU smashes Alabama by 20 points and it causes an uproar about the BCS system but I sincerely doubt LSU will put up 20 points. What I don't understand is how the Seahawks played the Browns earlier this year in the same sort of game as LSU vs Bama and had a similar score but somehow all the analyst took out the negatives but when it comes to the "mighty SEC" its a game of the century of two great defenses what a joke.

NFL Wild Card Weekend Picks
Houston vs Cincinnati: In a battle of two excellent defenses and young inexperienced quarterbacks that heavily rely on their running game I think the Bengals are the better team and will win this game. Its a shame that the year the Texans finally go to the playoffs they don't have their number one quarterback Matt Schaub. This will be a low scoring game, possibly a battle to 20 points and I think the Bengals defense is a bit better and Dalton is better than TJ Yates.
My Pick Bengals by 3
Detroit vs New Orleans: In the dome of death for the away teams Drew Brees will make everyone forget the dud from last year and the Saints and Brees will put up 30+ against a highly overrated Lions defense and Stafford will get his but not enough to overcome the great robot Brees. The Saints are also a balanced offense attack and Sproles is a great compliment to Brees and the Lion have absolutely no running game and Megatron will be double covered all game.

Atlanta vs New York Giants: This is the game that will make or break Matt Ryan early in his career, coming in he is 0-2 in the playoffs and needs a playoff win to solidify himself as a elite NFL quarterback.Eli Manning is probably the fourth best QB in the NFL this year and the most clutch QB this year and this season has reeked eerily of 2007 i.e. Super Bowl year. If Eli can get a little bit of a running game going and Osi plays like pre-injured Osi I think the Giants will run away with this game. The last and most important factor can the Giants cover and keep Julio Jones in check and not get beat deep short answer YES!!!!!!!!! Oh yeah and Victor Cruz will have 100+ receiving yards.

Pittsburgh vs Denver: Dear Lord Tim Tebow x_x the worst passer in NFL history I think yes, move over Rick Meir, Ryan Leaf, and Brian Bosworth Tebow takes the cake. Tebow is an NFL player just not a QB he can't throw, read defenses, or anything a quarterback should be able to do. Its a mortal sin and against everything I stand for to vote for Rapist-Berger but I hope they win handily to end the Tebowmania and he finally gets moved to a fullback like he should.

Top 5 NFL Players of 2011
1. Drew Brees: I know Aaron Rodgers is part robot but Drew Brees is the passer in the NFL sorry Rodgers. Yes Brees throws more interceptions but he puts up video game like numbers, broke Dan Marino's passing yards in a season record and the Saints may be marching to the super bowl.
2. Aaron Rodgers: He led the Packers to a 15-1 record and won a super bowl but after Matt Flynn's performance on Sunday I wander if Rodgers is more of a system quarterback rather than a pure passing phenom.
3. Lesean "Shady" McCoy: The best running back of 2011 and its a crime that he didn't get the football more and the only reason the Eagles didn't go to the playoffs is because of Andy Reid's arrogance in throwing the ball at a 60-40 ratio. When, in fact, McCoy should get 20+ carries a game rather than a measly 10-15. Dare I say he reminds me of Barry Sanders? Yes I do he breaks ankles on a regular basis and has the best lateral quickness I've seen since Barry.
4. Ray Rice: Another fantastic running back that if the Ravens stay true to their formula of run first will make it to the super bowl. Rice is a great runner and dangerous in the open field and Flacco's best receiver. Reminds me a lot of Marshall Faulk only bulkier and more powerful.
5. Megatron... I mean Calvin Johnson: Best receiver hands down in the NFL he and Stafford could be a potent combination in the future. He's physical, fast, and one of the best rout runners in the NFL. Andre Johnson was a close second.
Where's Tom Brady? ehm. Brady is good but was out shined by Brees and Rodgers as both made fewer mistakes. Snub much? I think not

Top 5 College Football Players of 2012
This year has had a lot of excitement from hail mary passes i.e. Michigan St. vs Wisconsin to shootouts where defense's are no where to be found. It also has the worst national title game ever, but anyways these are my top 5 college players of 2012:
1. Robert Griffin III: Hands down the best college football player this year and its a crime that he won't be the number one pick in the NFL Draft. He's better than Andrew Luck and underrated and under appreciated kind of like a new age Randall Cunningham or Mike Vick but faster and a better pure passer.
2. Andrew Luck eheh Just Kidding o_0... Matt Barkley: Another quarterback that's better than Andrew Luck and was smart to wait a year to come out for the NFL and has a huge contract waiting for him next year. A lock as the number one pick in the 2013 Draft.
3. Justin Blackmon/ Brandon Weeden: The best tandem in college football and should've been one of the two teams in the national title.
4. Oregon Ducks Rushing Game.. LaMichael James, Kenjon Barner, The Black Mamba DeAnthony Thomas: The best rushing attack in NCAA football and the fastest guys in college football. The Mamba will terrorize defenses for the next few years.
5. Kendall Wright: RGIII's beast of a receiver should be a top 10 pick, he has get away from the cops speed and is physical. "Seahawks please draft"

Top 5 Movies of 2011
This year lacked good movies overall but there were a couple of diamonds in the rough and a couple of series that blew my mind.
1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2: I asked myself how could this series get any better and somehow they did it, I'm not a Harry Potter fan boy by any stretch of the imagination but this was definitely the movie of the year and I am sad to see the series end. No more wizards using big sticks to make magic o_0
2. Fast 5: Finally this series gets back to its blockbuster status, The Rock blew the top off this series and I can't wait for the next one to come out. The Rock and Vin Diesel fight was B.A.
3. Warrior: This is an example of a diamond in the rough movie of 2011, this movie had everything from a great climax to emotional scenes and intense fighting. This movie is a must see and one of the best sports movies ever made.
4. Sherlock Holmes A Game of Shadows: Better than the first one somehow, Robert Downey Jr. is a great Sherlock. The story is great the comedy is great and Jude Law is once again excellent and has great re pore with Downey Jr. And the cliffhanger was a good one Here's to a Sherlock III.
5. Fighter: Another great sports movie this one however is a true to life story and Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale do a great job in this movie. This movie displays the struggle of drug addiction and how perseverance truly does pay off. Micky Ward is a beast x_x

Top 5 Video Games of 2011
This year has produced many excellent and elite video games that have raised standards for future games but here are the five top video games for the Xbox 360.
1. Elder Scrolls V Skyrim: An excellent open world game that will take over your life, with excellent graphics at least a couple hundred hours of gameplay to beat the game. Killing dragons was a nice addition to the franchise and the side quests are fun especially the stormcloak ones. The only thing lacking in this game is there is absolutely no online capabilities.
2. Batman Arkham City: Just like Arkham Asylum I have absolutely no complaints whats so ever. The story is a decent length, the side missions are fun, leveling system is great and getting all the riddler trophies is fun, exciting, challenging, and time consuming.
3. Dead Space 2: Way better than the first one visually and storyline wise, no more backtracking just pure necromorph destruction. Only reason why this isn't in the top 2 is for the lack of fun in the online gameplay. Story takes about 8 hours to beat and is the best horror shooter game ever made. End of discussion.
4. Modern Warfare 3: Another excellent Call of Duty game in the series, campaign is kind of lacking however the online play more than makes up for it. The new game modes keep the fun going and new perks, killstreaks make if fun for everyone whether your a 20 kill streak player or a conservative support player. Spec Ops and survival mode also add to the God status of this first person shooter franchise.
5. Fifa 12: The only sports game ever to crack my top 5 video games of the year ever is Fifa 12, this game is excellent visually and almost could be mistaken for real life soccer. The tactical defending made it even more realistic and this franchise is leaps and bounds over any other sports series going.
Other notable games of the year: Assassins Creed Revelations (yet to play so can't put on list), Saints Row the Third (toss up with Fifa 12 for the 5th Spot), Dead Island ( sorry Dead Space 2 stole my heart and you couldn't take my brainssssss), Rage (definitely a top 8 game just not a top 5 one), Madden 12 (eheh is that a joke? Madden 12 probably 30th) x_x

Why are there guaranteed contracts in baseball?
This is possibly the biggest beef I have in all topics of sports and this is why is a baseball player guaranteed money when he signs a contract and not in football? In baseball its pretty hard to get hurt and you bat every 9 times, pitch every 5 games, or throw roughly 20 pitches per game. Its a farce that a baseball player should be guaranteed money look at baseball players when they get paid a majority of them check out and don't play with the same passion or underachieve considerably.
Whereas in football you have to show up every game of every season risking your lively hood to play a game where you may not see future paychecks because only a certain part of your contract is guaranteed versus baseball where you can be a player like Chone Figgins and hit sub .200 and get paid 10 million dollars per season to be an abomination of a professional athlete.
In football you can get your contract terminated at any moment and get screwed out of millions of dollars versus baseball where you can have one good expiring contract season and not show up for that contract and still get that whole contract. Pujols will make $250 million over the next 10 years but how many of those years will he deserve to make that type of money? It doesn't matter because that money is Pujols money now.
In conclusion, the NFL is the number one sport because it provides the best competition week in and week out because players know that if they don't perform they will be out of the league and their contracts are null and voided other than their bonus money. Whereas a baseball player ehm Chone Figgins can have a few good years get paid and then ride the pine. Baseball get rid of your guaranteed contracts its egregious and an embarrassment that players can get $10 million when they deserve to be sitting at home wasting your money when you can hit the baseball if it was the size of a beach ball..

Eagles vs Seahawks Preview
In a battle of two struggling teams trying to find their identity and both with no hope to go to the playoffs all these two teams are playing for is draft positioning and pride. The Seahawks have actually exceeded my expectations and have suprised both the Ravens and the Giants. The Eagles on the other hand were a Super Bowl or bust team and have been extremely disappointing and have lost heartbreaking games to the pretender Bills and Cardinals.
In this game the Seahawks will be without star wide receiver Sidney Rice hindering their offense even more than usual, while the Eagles will be out with Mike Vick once again and Jeremy Maclin. I think if the Seahawks lose this game Tavaris Jackson will get shut down the rest of the year so he can have surgery on his 50% torn pectoral muscle. The Seahawks have an emerging defense and their D-Line has been stout against the run and will have their biggest test yet in stopping Lesean "Shady" McCoy. The secondary has struggled against speedy receivers and will have to try ans slow down a very disappointing Desean Jackson. In the pass game I would give the Eagles the unquestionable advantage over the Seahawks big but slow corners.
The Seahawks have the advantage in the running game with Marshawn Lynch being able to run against the wide-9 Eagles D-Line and should have a field day rushing for over 100 yards and may be able to break off some big runs if he gets to the second level against the Eagles very below average linebackers. As for the secondary of the Eagles they should have no problem shutting down the one-hit wander Mike Williams but will have their hands full with Doug Baldwin in the slot especially if DRC doesn't play.The Eagles also have the advantage in the pass rush with Babin and Cole coming off the edges and if they get a big lead early the Seahawks will be dead in the water and Tavaris Jackson might be in crumbles by the end of the game especially with how horrid the Seahawks O-Line is.
In conclusion, I give the Eagles the advantage in this one, Vince Young should have a big game against the Seahawks big but unathletic corners of Sherman and Browner, Desean Jackson will have a breakout game and the Seahawks will get routed by at least 2 touchdowns. The lone bright spot being Marshawn Lynch who will no questionbably rush for over 100 yards but T-Jack will most likely throw a couple picks giving the Eagles the win 31-17 and the Andy Reid haters will lay off of him for a game.

Modern Warfare 3 Review
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 is a lot like the previous Modern Warfares' in it's gameplay and the lack luster story facet of the franchise but, I think it really separated itself in the multiplayer aspect.
Campaign: Once again the campaign lacks in appeal and if your buying this game purely for the campaign be warned its awfully short and although fun action wise the story is terrible and scenes supposed to connect with gamers emotionally fail miserably. It seems as though the entire campaign is spent riding around and using vehicles but, the fact that you travel to different settings give it a nice touch.
Gameplay: Practically the same as any other game the controls are the same, graphics and sound are better, and of course the multiplayer is addicting. The biggest addition to gameplay is the strike packages which help cater to any type of players gaming style. The guns seem pretty similar with a few new additions and the addition of prestige tokens is a nice touch.
Presentation: The graphics are great but it seems they put a lot of structures from Modern Warfare 2 and recycled them into Modern Warfare 3. The sound as stated above is great and is way better than any previous game.
Online Multiplayer: It still far and away the best online multiplayer franchise on the planet (sorry Battlefield). The addition of a few new game types like kill confirmed (my personal favorite) adds to the pleasure of playing this game. Kill confirmed is like team deathmatch but instead of a person just dying you have to grab their dog tags which hover over their body and you must retrieve them to get credited a point as a team. One knock on the multiplayer is quick scoping is back which is frustrating. They also took out the ability to dive which is a draw back for me. As I stated above the strike packages are cool and the fact that you can die and still add your kills streaks with the support choice is a nice touch as well. I also like the prestige tokens and the ability to gain double xp adds to the lure of this game.
Grade: The final grade I would give it is a solid 9.5, the main drawback is the campaign, I'm still yet to play any spec ops but when I play them I will review those. The online play continues to wow me and continues to set the standard as a FPS.

007 Goldeneye Reloaded Review
Activision took a big risk by remaking for next gen consoles one of the best shooters of a generation and adapting it to a more online friendly multilayer shooter. The graphics have been improved and make the game look pretty good overall. The story is linear to a fault and the controls are identical to the Call of Duty franchise.
Overall this game is a good throwback and will let you get in touch with the 1990's style game with a feel of the 2000's in terms of the visuals. It is definitely not a first tier shooter by any stretch of the imagination but defintely fits in along side the second tier shooters like Bodycount, Homefront, and Medal of Honor.
I had high hopes for this game and the flawed multiplayer ruined that aspect of the game, and the fact that my character is so much tougher than the AI's it ruins the challenge that the N64 version brought. Plus, witht the auto aim I found myself walking into a room with 20 guys and just ran through the middle and sprayed and took them all out. Hopefully, Activision will patch some of the flaws in the multiplayer but this is very unlikely especially with the release date of Modern Warfare 3 just a few days away.
I would give this game a solid 7 and its fun but not worth the $50 it will run you to purchase this game.

Sehawks Quarterback Future
It's quite obvious that the Seattle Sehawks are going to be in the running for a top 10 draft pick this season and more importantly need a franchise quarterback. Tavaris Jackson and Charlie Whitehurst are average quarterbacks at best and are certainly not the future signal caller of Seattle.
The Seahawks won't get Andrew Luck just based off the fact that the Dolphins are horrible and at best will win 2 games, which is the same amount Seattle has which will result in Andrew Luck going to the Dolphins. Therefore, the Seahawks will have to split hairs between Landry Jones and Matt Barkley. Both quarterbacks are big, non-athletic, have tremendous arm strength, As for differences Barkley is in a more pro-style offense but I still feel he's overrated and is highly inconsistent and will be Andy Dalton-essque which means he won't wow you and can't take over a game. Barkley NEEDS a running game to be successful, but the big plus for him over Jones is that he will be somewhat familiar with the pro-style offense and played under Pete Carrol at USC.
Landry Jones plays in a spread style offense at Oklahoma and will take a bit longer to get accustomed to the speed and language of a pro-style offense. Landry Jones is bigger than Barkley and has a smidgen more of arm-strength and has proven to be more durable. Landry Jones is definitely the quarterback Seattle needs and is a franchise style quarterback.
If I were the Seahawks GM I would pick Landry Jones over Matt Barkley mainly because he's more of a game changing quarterback, is bigger, has the better arm, more durable, and is a franchise type quarterback. Barkley is overrated and at best can manage the game not mistakes, but won't be able to take over the game. Alright Seattle you've got your lineman of the future now get your quarterback of the future. Next Wednesday's Seahawks blog will focus on the Seahawks second round draft will it be a skill position finally? A running back? Is Marshawn in his last year at Seattle? Wait till next weeks blog.

Both quarterbacks are big, non-athletic, have tremendous arm strength, As for differences Barkley is in a more pro-style offense but I still feel he's overrated and is highly inconsistent and will be Andy Dalton-essque which means he won't wow you and can't take over a game. Barkley NEEDS a running game to be successful, but the big plus for him over Jones is that he will be somewhat familiar with the pro-style offense and played under Pete Carrol at USC.
Landry Jones plays in a spread style offense at Oklahoma and will take a bit longer to get accustomed to the speed and language of a pro-style offense. Landry Jones is bigger than Barkley and has a smidgen more of arm-strength and has proven to be more durable. Landry Jones is definitely the quarterback Seattle needs and is a franchise style quarterback.
If I were the Seahawks GM I would pick Landry Jones over Matt Barkley mainly because he's more of a game changing quarterback, is bigger, has the better arm, more durable, and is a franchise type quarterback. Barkley is overrated and at best can manage the game not mistakes, but won't be able to take over the game. Alright Seattle you've got your lineman of the future now get your quarterback of the future. Seahawks vs Bengals Preview
It looks as though Charlie Whitehurst is going to start tomorrow once again and hopefully this time it won't burn my eyes to watch. The Bengals have one of the best defense's in the NFL and a shut down corner in Leon Hall. If the Seahawks have any chance Marshawn Lynch must start, be effective, and get the ball around 20 times. If they limit Whitehurst's impact on the game the Seahawks will be best off.
The Seahawks also need their receivers to step up Sidney Rice has been missing in action other than the one late grab that led to the only points Seattle scored. Mike Williams had 60+ grabs last year and this year has been really disappointing To start the game I think Seattle should try and get Mike Williams and Sidney Rice involved maybe even take a shot deep to start the game just to see if you can get some quick easy points.
If T-Jack starts I think you'll see alot of what we saw before he got hurt an up-tempo offense and him being effective and managing the game, being semi-conservative and not looking awful when he throws the ball.

Another Sunday of Charlie Whitehurst...
Last Sunday's Seattle Seahawks game was awful and probably the worst football game I've ever watched. As for the quarterback play I still can't pick if Whitehurst or Flacco had the worst game I've seen. With Charlie's play he made Tavaris Jackson seem like a pro-bowler and missed some of the easiest throws even a high school quarterback can make. It still bothers me how the Seahawks could trade away so much for the second coming of Rick Mirer. Against the Browns, who have about an average defense Whitehurst only completed 40% of his passes a measly 12 of 30 and threw for a morbid 97 yards.
Tavaris Jackson who's suffering from a strain in his pectoral muscle is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals. All I have to say is if Whitehurst starts I may slam my head through a wall or gouge my eyes out because he's that bad. Tavaris, although average at best at least gets into a flow and plays pretty well in the up tempo offense that they have implemented. Just look at the way he played against the Giants before he went out with injury he completed 68% of his passes and 166 yards.

Battlefield 3 Video Game Review
For the second time this month I played a hyped up video game series, and for the second straight time I was blown away. Battlefield 3 looks better, sounds better, and plays better than Call of Duty and may unseat the franchise.
Presentation: The game's sound is the best of any shooter I've played ever, and the graphics are breathtaking. This is the most realistic shooter I've played, and EA has helped create one of the best video games of this generation.
Game play: The main difference between the CoD series and the Battlefield series has been the map sizes in multi-player and the length of the campaign. I've found myself thinking that Battlefield is more realistic as you spawn quite a long ways away from the enemy versus Call of Duty where you can run for 10 seconds and pop shot an enemy.
Story: The campaign is quite long and interesting and is right around the same status as CoD in this sense. CoD I think still has the better storyline but the length is what puts Battlefield above CoD.
Bottom Line: Battlefield 3 had alot of hype and for me it lived up to it, I love the fact it has Co-Op mode and the online multiplayer combined with dedicated servers leaves me not wanting to go back to glitchy, laggy CoD online play. I would give this game a 10 out of 10 and hope Activision pulled their heads out of their you no what's and made an A++ Call of Duty this year and if not Battlefield will take its seat at the top of the shooter throne.
